Stevenson Search Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Gilbert Di Paolo, PhD to Therapeutic Area Leader for Dementias at Roche.

Roche is one of the world’s largest biotech companies and a leading provider of in-vitro diagnostics and a global supplier of transformative innovative solutions across major disease areas.

Dr. Di Paolo joins Roche at a pivotal moment in the field, as scientific understanding of dementia continues to advance and the need for new therapeutic options has never been greater. His deep expertise in neurodegenerative disease research positions him to make a meaningful contribution to Roche’s efforts to improve the lives of patients and families affected by dementia.

An accomplished scientist and research leader, Dr. Di Paolo brings more than 25 years of experience spanning academic research and biopharmaceutical drug development. Most recently, he served as Seth and Amy Christensen Distinguished Scientist and Executive Director at Denali Therapeutics, where he spent a decade building and leading research programs focused on novel treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.

Prior to Denali, Dr. Di Paolo held faculty appointments at Columbia University Medical Center, including as Associate Professor and member of the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer’s Disease and the Aging Brain.

Dr. Di Paolo earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Biology from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. He completed his postdoctoral training at Yale University.
