Stevenson Search Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas L. F. Montgomery Andresen, PhD to Chief Executive Officer of Commit Biologics.
Commit Biologics is a Copenhagen-based biotechnology company developing next-generation immunotherapies that harness the complement system to target cancer and autoimmune disorders.
Dr. Andresen joins Commit Biologics at a pivotal moment, as the company prepares to nominate its first two clinical development candidates in 2026. His deep expertise in translating early-stage science into clinical and commercial reality, combined with his track record of building and scaling biotech ventures across Europe and the United States, positions him to guide Commit through this critical transition into a clinical-stage company.
An accomplished biotechnology entrepreneur, Dr. Andresen brings more than 20 years of experience founding and scaling companies at the intersection of therapeutic innovation and bioengineering, spanning drug delivery, T-cell engagers, and cell therapy. Most recently, he served as founding Chief Executive Officer of T-Cypher Bio, an Oxford-based immunotherapy company. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Torque Therapeutics, a Flagship Pioneering-backed company subsequently acquired by Repertoire Immune Medicines, where he went on to serve as Chief Scientific Officer. He has also co-founded MonTa Biosciences, X-Therapeutics, and Nanovi A/S which was acquired by CQ Medical.
Complementing his industry career, Dr. Andresen has maintained a long-standing academic appointment at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he served as Professor, Director and Chair of the Institute of Health Technology and currently holds the title of Adjunct Professor. He has authored more than 220scientific papers and holds inventorship on more than 50 patent families spanning a broad range of therapeutic applications. Dr. Andresen is based in Denmark.
Dr. Andresen earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Drug Delivery and a Master of Science in Chemistry, both from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
