Allen Reed

Allen joined Stevenson Search Partners in 2026 as Partner and Head of Life Science Tools & Services, bringing more than 25 years of executive search experience across life sciences and healthcare. He partners with private equity and venture-backed businesses as well as high-growth public companies to recruit CEOs, Board Directors and senior leaders across commercial, R&D, finance, business development and technology functions, building leadership teams positioned for growth.

Allen brings particular expertise working with B2B services, suppliers and solutions providers supporting the biotech, pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, MedTech and broader life sciences sectors. Prior to Stevenson, Allen held senior leadership roles at leading global retained executive search firms and spent seven years leading his own boutique search firm serving healthcare and life sciences clients. He began his career with the Advisory Board Company, a strategic research and consulting firm later acquired by Optum/UnitedHealth Group.

With both sons off to college, Allen and his wife are enjoying their new chapter as empty nesters. Outside of work, Allen is an avid nonfiction reader and enjoys staying active and outdoors, whether hiking, biking or taking part in just about anything sports-related.
